A low-cost, low power CMOS LSI device for controlling Christmas lights, or similar low wattage mains lamps. The IC has four outputs that directly drive the SCRs controlling the lamps. The lamps can be displayed in 10 different groups which are selected by input switches. Within each group, each lamp has an individual display pattern of which there are 12. Each group can be selected by using the DK1, SK2 and K3 to K6 pins, with each pin having two functions depending on the condition of the MODE pin. In addition, all groups can be displayed automatically by momentarily connecting DK1 to VDD with MODE connected to VSS. The groups can be selected sequentially by momentarily connecting pin SK2 to VDD with MODE connected to VSS he device is designed to operated from a 5V DC supply, and has a built-in PLL circuit that can be synchronised to either 50Hz or 60Hz mains. |
